When we are dealing with overcoming a sin, we need to think wisely. We need to remember that negative thoughts come from the enemy, and don't come from God. We will never overcome temptation when we are constantly thinking, "Why did I do this? Why am I a screw up? Everyone hates me." We run from those thoughts! We also must remember, it is not whether we were tempted or not, but whether we acted on that temptation or not. To be tempted is not a sin, to act on that temptation is. We need to dive into scripture, and run hard and fast towards God.
To overcome sin and temptation is hard, but it is not impossible. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." God will never give you more than you can handle! He will never leave you to do life alone! We as Christians need to remember what God has promised us, and we need to live by it.

When we finally begin on the correct path, we will truly see that God has wonderful things in store for us, and He will make beautiful things out of us.
